Chelsea vs Napoli

These will be the 3 key figures in what will decide the outcome of the two scheduled Champions League Round of 16 Matches.

  1. Gary Cahill vs Edinson Cavani
    - New signing Chelsea defender, Gary Cahill, is going to be the spotlight. With the likes of John Terry out of commission due to injury, it will be up to Cahill to be the main source of central defense. He is committed and strong, Cahill is a no-nonsense defender who is good in the tackle and an aerial threat. A real leader on the pitch and he will be put to the test. Napoli heavy-weight striker, Edinson Cavani, will be the biggest threat. And that is an understatement. He is powerful and strong, he is a commanding presence up front who can hold onto the ball and is not afraid to get his head on a cross, but most importantly he is a natural finsher when in front of goal. Cavani is a real danger and a true clinical finisher.
  2. Michael Essien vs Marek Hamsik
    - The battle in the midfield will truly be something. Chelsea’s Michael Essien will play in the central midfield and will be the main source of organization and focus amongst the team. He is powerful, and his relentless work-rate is outstanding. He also possesses an incredible shot from distance. Essien is a combative box-to-box midfielder who likes to be involved with play at all times, whether in defence or attack. Marek Hamsik is Napoli main source of creativity and best midfielder. He will play in his prominent role as a central attacking midfielder. For an attacking midfielder, Hamsik is physically strong but his greatest his asset is being in the right place at the right time. His anticipation, eye for a goal and ability to dictate play is amazing. Expect Hamsik to cause Chelsea great chaos.
  3. Juan Mata vs Paolo Cannavaro
    - Hands down Chelsea’s most in-form forward. With both Drogba and Torres failing to make goals, it has been Mata who has carried the team. He scores goals AND he creates them for others! He is absolutely phenomenal. He is technically superb, his close control and vision are excellent and he has the ability to beat his man. He has been astonishing and Chelsea’s best player. Paolo Cannavaro is the Captain of Napoli and a true central defender. He is powerful, intelligent, and a true leader. He has great experience and does not crack down easily to pressure. He keeps the team focused and organized. Cannavaro is not a stroll through the park. Rock-solid defense. That is who Cannavaro is.

Who will win?
